Description
The solution was to investigate the trend of current geometric shapes. The pentagon and hexagon were chosen. The pentagon was chosen over the hexagon because there are 12 faces exactly the same, that join together and is stable enough for a table. The Dodecahedron table can be used as a side table, bedside table or a bath stool. These can be made to any size. The size is currently H 400mm X L 500mm X W 500mm.
The Dodecahedron table as a prototype was made with external grade ply and is also suitable for wet areas. The plan is to make these tables with different materials to have different price points. This could even include mixed media such as steel or concrete. There would be different grades of external ply, as well as, the use of reclaimed timber laminated onto the ply {for strength).
