Description of Product:
Agave draws from a definition of veneering as a ‘cover or disguise’, I chose to look beyond traditional timber veneers, instead considering how a system of 3D tiles could be used to conceal a surface. Inspired by the sculptural leaves of the Agave plant, the credenza is constructed from solid FSC European Beech and fronts a textural armoured facade of hand-cast acrylic tiles. Designed for longevity, all materials and processes used aim to minimize harm and environmental impact.
